Arenal Trip (Shortened)

We had a great trip up to the Arenal Volcano today, even though we got off to a late start. The weather was great, but too cloudy to see the volcano at the top. (See photo below of the mountain in the distance as we approached the town of La Fortuna.) We decided to just make this a day trip and spent all our time at the Tabacon Hot Springs.

We stopped in town for a nice lunch, since we were all starved. Sasha kept anybody busy who wanted to try to keep up with her antics. Here's Gramma trying to entertain her with some gadgets.
Here she's showing Bumpa some "nice" leaves (which she demostrated how to rip in half)
At the Hot Springs Barry was the first to hit the waterfalls. (James wasn't feeling to hot (literally, since he had an upset stomach) so he warmed up in the pool first.) These waters are just as hot as you can stand, but delicious on a tired back!So the kid had a blast on the hot waterfall slide (that's Barry...)
All the gang in the pool, with a pool bar in the background.
Sasha doesn't like to be captive in any way. She tolerated the floating chair for a little while.
Then Gramma kept her busy...The Water Lady...Sasha might learn to swim faster than she learned to walk, and that's fast (8 months!)
