Jordan's Farewell

We were invited by Munirih and Noily Gomez to a going away dinner for Jordan Baese who's been serving for some time in Costa Rica. He's been working especially on video projects and children's classes, etc., but will now be leaving for more service and learning adventures in Peru, plus to continue his studies in the movie-making industry up North later on.

I enjoyed watching him in action when he did some video interviews with Alan Pringle, Jorge Arias (days before he died! This video was presented at the last Reflection Gathering at the Charles Wolcott Institute and was very moving) and Richard Mirkovich. I hope these recordings are kept for posterity.

Poor fellow, as noted in the photo below, he was mugged by a couple of guys while he was walking along near the Sabana. One person grabbed him from behind and somehow hit a nerve or a vein which cause him to black out (probably causing him to fall and bump his head). When he woke up they had taken the only thing he had of value: his Ipod! (Thank God, not his life!)

Buen viaje, amigo!
