More Travels

For our trip to take Barry and Kathy to the Irazu Volcano we stopped first at the Artesan Market in San Jose, where we also met up with David and Gianni and Javid Solan, Gabi and their baby, Javidy.

The CR craft quality has become quite sophisticated these past few years, to our happy surprise.

When we were at the beach we saw some of this excellent hand-carved art work and found more in this market. We saw the Cuban fellow who is doing it nearby. This piece is cut from Guayacan Real (a super hard wood found here):
