More California Friends

On our drive down from Arcata Julie wanted to see the famous Highway 1, coastal route, so we took off toward our friend's place at Irish Beach, which is just below Point Arena.

The friends, Tom and Sue Hunolt, I've known since high school days and have maintained a connection with them over all these years. I've been to their place two or three times, the last being a couple of years ago. They were anxious to meet Julie whom they've been hearing about but never seen before now.

This is another kitty I spotted through the kitchen window while we were talking--a Bobcat!
As soon as I zeroed in on him with my camera he caught something large in the grass, probably a gopher.
As far back as I can remember Tom has been a car fanatic. I was too, back in our school days, and we had many a story to recount from those times. Now he's realized his dream--to have a Shelby Cobra! (Check it out on the Net, the car's pretty famous!) This one was build from a kit. Tom offered to give Julie a ride up the coast. (I got to drive it last visit. What a machine!)
